  Fresh Fruit Salad (4 servings)

  A healthy diet should consist of plenty of fresh fruit.  It is always easy to put together a delicious combination of fruit for a healthy dessert or snack.  Fruit salad are especially beneficial during detox regime as fruits help to eliminate toxins.  This simple version could be enjoyed anytime.

 Fresh Fruit Salad Ingredients 

 16 to 20 strawberries
2 peaches
2 oranges
2 apples
30 ml / 2 tbsp lemon juice
15-30 ml / 1-2 tbsp orange flower water (optional)
a few fresh mint leaves to decorate

  Fresh Fruit Salad Preparation Method

Hull the strawberries and cut them in half.  Put the peaches in a bowl, pour boiling water over them and leaves them to stand for 1 minutes

Remove from water, using a slotted spoon.  Peel, then cut the flesh into thick slices.  Discard the stones (pits)

Peel the oranges, removing all the pith and segments, catching the juice in a small bowl.  Peel, core and chop the apples.  Place all the fruit in a large serving bowl.

Combine the lemon juice, orange flower water, if using and reserved orange juice.  Pour the fruit juice mixture over the salad and serve decorated with few fresh mint before serving the fruit salad.
